BTW, Ernie, Darrell Holland build my awesome Rem 700 in a 1-7" Lilja, 6mm Ackely Improved, in his Benchrest stock---what a shooter digesting those 107 gr. Sierras. The man is a genious!

Would you mind giving us a "un-official" price on his ART system? I was actually going to call him tomorrow if I wake up early enough, LOL. I work Second Shift, FWIW, and it takes me a while to wind down.

Re: Sort of amazing what you can do with a 22lr out to 400 yards

Thanks!
Let me clarify something, no one was shooting at 1K with a rimfire.
Sorry if I was not clear.
We only shot out to 400 yards with the 22lr specialty pistol.

Are looking at having the ART added to a scope you already have or or buying a new scope from Darrell with ART?

LOL, my bad. Sorry. No, the ART would be installed in a 4.5-14x50 Vari-X III that I already have. One inch tube unfortunately.

When you send in your scope to get converted it costs $450.00
Tell him "Hi" for me when you call.

Will do! And here is a picture of the perfection that he built for me several years ago.

The scope in the pic is a 6.5-20x50 VariX-III. The 4.5-14x50 will be going on another rifle, JFYI.

Thanks Ernie! I'm proud of it.

Darrell did a wonderful job, and my only complain was that I wanted to use the factory Laminated Varmint stock, but Darrel said that with my HV Lilja there wouldn't be much wood left---which was probably correct.

Darrell's solution: sell me one of his target stocks (which I love the cheek wield and the LOP is almost right for me). My only problem is that I also wanted to use a Bi-Pod when out in the field, and sling swivels would have been useful.

After a call to Darrell, he offered to install a Versa-Pod stud for FREE, but I already have an awesome Bald Eagle cast iron Y-rest with all the bags for my Rem 40XBR 6mm PPC, so I told him that it was too much effort to ship it back. So she became a bench queen, Lol.

I am thinking of sending the action to Krieger to have a quick twist .308 Win barrel fitted for a switch barrel shooter. Having Nato catridge'd shooting sticks is good! ;^)
