Whether short or long anytime I hunt or shoot with a traditional handgun or specialty pistol is a great time.
hunlee has hunted with 375 Windchester for many year and whitetail deer have fell out to 140 or maybe more.Shots out to yardage of 140+ are takin with Contender resting on rock,limb or other solid object.Hunlee would never feel comfortabal shooting offhanded to yardage that far
Well mine ant much BUT for me, I was GIDDY as a school girl when I shot my first deer (with a hand at a whopping 35 yards. I shot em with a scoped 15",7mm-08 Encore. That sucker dropped like a lightning bolt hit em! I was excited and all that bla bla...Anyway new to the forum
When I first got into the T/C pistol I bought a 25 Bullberry 15". I took it up to MI where my friend had a bunch of crop damage permits. I got a doe at 350 with it. This was before I learned it is illegal to take a handgun to MI from WI. I don't hunt deer in WI and that is my longest to date. 118 years ago, so no pics.
MI has a handgun registration and WI does not. It is a felony to posses a handgun in MI without having it registered. A concealed carry permit from your home state qualifies as a registration in MI, but WI does not have that either.
