You may already know this, but here is some info:
The key to shooting consistently from the prone position with a bi-pod and a rear field bag, is to keep consistent tension and the rear bag all the way through the recoil impulse. SO IMPORTANT.
If you let up or clinch harder during recoil, you will have vertical issues.
Also, make sure the rear bag is in the same place from shot to shot.
It is all about consistency.
I use corn cob media or heavy sand, depending what my task is.
Also, when not on the ground, put alight rubber mat on the hard bench and that will help as well.
Then there is controlled breathing the type of grip you have and once it is right keeping it consistent from shot to shot, etc.
