Re: Dan B\'s 396 yard turkey

Yep...I'm reading. Thanks.

If my rangefinder were a little stronger I would have had a nice buck at 460-ish yards on Wednesday. Longest reading I could get was in the mid-300's (this unit is about 10yrs old and I had to give back the borrowed Leica 1200) and I guessed he was about 430yds. So I shot for that and went just under. Had he not already been wounded I would not have shot.

When checking the shot, I stopped halfways and ranged each direction and figured he was in the 460yd area. Anyone want to lend me a 600yd rangefinder for the next week?
