Re: Whats your #1 choice for case lube ....

I have used the Hornady one shot lube and I like it just fine. It is pretty clean to handle and doesn't cause much mess. I haven't tried anything else so far so you can take that for waht it is worth.

Good Luck
Steve

Re: Whats your #1 choice for case lube ....

I grew up with the RCBS goop and pad. I have also used the Hornady and Lyman sprays, and in my opinion, the Hornady is much better(cleaner). The Lyman spray is just plain nasty to me. It has a VERY strong chemical stank to it, but it is quite slick on the cases. After using it I feel the need to tumble brass again to get all the residue off the brass, and to me, that defeats the purpose of it use. Hornady spray wipes of very easily and adds to the beauty of the brass with a mild polished look.

I am always open-minded when it comes to new stuff, and I plan on trying out the Imperial wax. Goodgrouper, does Payson? sporting goods handle this wax too? Maybe I could get it and some Coppermelt from them.

The Lee Lube in the tube is hard to beat. You can size wet or dry w/ it and it comes off in a snap. One tube is only a couple of bucks and it will last for years as long as you don't get too carried away. It's also water based so it doen't effect powder if alittle is left inside the case.

Good Luck!
