What's the deal with 300 WSM brass?

I picked up some range brass today for my 300 WSM.All the Winchester brass takes a #43 shell holder,the rim measures .530,but all the Remington brass takes a #4 shellholder,the rim measures .520.I remember reading something about the smaller rim is for use in automatic rifles.My question is it alright to use this brass in my bolt action rifle?I'd hate to get a case stuck in the chamber or my die for that matter because of the smaller rim.
