What works for you with your Reloads? 7mm rem mag

My neighbor is getting into reloading and told me if i supplied everything he would reload for me. Now i have been shooting factory loaded winchester accubonds 160 grains for my 7mm rem mag and have been getting decent groups. I would like to stick with 160 grain and would also like to reload for 140 or 150 grain as well. Now im not sure what bullets to use, or powders, or primers or anything for that case. Never reloaded before and never had anyone reload for me.

I would like for you to tell me what works for you in your 7mm? what your set up is? What do you suggest? what kind of powder? what kind of primers? what bullets? I own a Remington 700 BDL with a 24 inch barrel and i believe a 1:9.5 twist rate

Alot of people have told me to just stick with Barnes but i know there expensive. Are they really worth the extra buck?

62 grains IMR4350, pushing 154 grain Hornady SP and 9 1/2 primers for my Ruger #1

Re: What works for you with your Reloads? 7mm rem mag

There seems to be something magical about RE22 and the 7mm Mag from what I have seen.

Just the same, my wife's Savage 7 Mag likes the 140 gr NAB with a GM215M primer and 78.5 grains of H870 (yes I still have some), also, same bullet and primer over 75.5 grains of H1000.

Hope that helps a little....

One of the most accurate loads that I have for 7mm Rem Mag is 160 Gr Nosler Accubonds and H 1000 Powder. Very accurate and very dependable.

I use a dual load system. 160gr accubonds on anything inside of 300yds and either 168gr berger or 162gr a-max on anything past 300 yds.
I hunt with the 160 accubonds in the magazine and swap to the berger or a-max for the long shot.
So far it has never been a problem. The longest shots I have taken are 630 odd yards.

I had never considered that, sounds like a great idea! What is the difference in the POI at 100 yards between the NAB and the Berger?

i have an adl . it does not have a muzzle break. some of the loads i have used are: h-4831 (LC) 69.5 GRAINS with 139 horn. in my senderos i have used nosler 140 and accu bond 140 and i am going to try a berger 140 with h-4831. i have also shoot a lot of berger 168 with re-19. every load shoots less than an inch. some a lot less
