TRIM DIES

I have not read much discussion on the pros/cons of using trim dies. I have a Redding trim die and haven't used it yet. Any tips from people who have used them? Why aren't they used more??

Re: TRIM DIES

Trim dies result in the case mouth being pushed out of round by the file. Probably not a big deal if you are shooting at big game under 500yds. Having a good square case mouth is more important as the range increases or the size of the target decreases. Kirby is gone off hunting so I 'm just filling in for him. I believe that is what he would say.
