Just going to give a little update here. In desperation to find a load accurate enough to use in season (Oct. 26) I have been trying everything to try to get my 111 LRH to shoot sub MOA. I've worked with the torque on the action screws, seating depths, charge weigh, switching powders, I even took the scope and rings off and remounted everything to be sure it was all right. I had all but given up on the Berger VLD hunting and was trying to find some nosler BT's to try.
then I thought, why not try jamming the VLD since that is the only thing I haven't tried. At first I seated them to the lands and only had one flyer out of a 5 shot group with the other three cutting holes. Flyers have been the problem. I then seated them at .01" jam and shot a .45" group with 0 flyers. I loaded some more of these tonight. Hopefully I will have no more flyers. I was afraid that jamming them might pull a load apart on me in the field. I loaded one round and ejected it a few times without pulling the bullet. Tomorrow ill put the calipers on it to see if it grew any.
Will update after more shooting. Wish me luck
