Every gun and barrel is a beast unto its own. There is no magic number that every gun hits, can hit or should hit.
the manuals puts you in the ballpark and you have to work the load for your gun based on your expectations compared to obvious pressure signs, expected brass life and desired accuracy for that specific bullet, case primer and powder (that lot # alone) combo IN YOUR gun, no one elses.
What is your chrono telling you that you are getting by the way?
