Rl 33

Anyone try any RL 33 in a 338 edge? I am almost out of H1000 and everyone local is out but they have plenty of RL 33 in stock.

Re: Rl 33

I don't have a edge but I am running rl33 in my 300 rum with 225 grain hdy hpbt's. 95 grains is shooting well in my rifle but I haven't chrono'd it.... to windy last time I had both it and the chrono at the range at the same time. It should be the cat's meow in your edge.

Hmm, wonder why this is?? I thought 33 was very sought after.

Re: Rl 33

I have the opposite problem here. The rl powders are flying off the shelf and the H are staying put. I was at the lgs yesterday and could have bought 4 kegs between h1000 and retumbo and there wasn't any rl33 (in fairness they have been better with the faster rl powders). I have to go uptown to get that powder. I can get rl25 at 20 bucks more per keg than they wanted last year though.

Re: Rl 33

I shoot it in my 338 lapua. Haven't got a great accuracy node yet. My first flyer was high left. Next 2 were in same hole at 100 yards. Right at 2870fps. Still working on it though. 300 gr Bergers.

I have 3 pounds of it so I am trying all I can to get it to shoot.

Personally I think people were so sick of waiting for it they gave up on it and found loads with other powders. I waited and waited and by the time I got some I had already found a load with H1000 and Retumbo for a lapua I am working on. I found 4 pounds by chance and the shop I was on a waiting list for had lots of it when I checked in with them. It seems like a mother load came in at the same time all over the country.

I should try mine and see how it does.

Reloder 33 Daily Bulletin

Isn't it made somewhere else.

Reloader 33 temp sensitivity and consistency

Lefty - my RL22 in my 7RM doesn't care about temps for accuracy at long range. Just need to figure the temp/velocity change. Do your primers like 90+ degrees?

OP - no to 338 edge.
