Re: reload for 7mm mag

I am using 70gr of H1000 with Fed 215 primers and Barnes 168gr LRX, velocity is 3045fps. It is right at .5" at 200 yds. Yet to hit an elk with it but on paper looks good.

Re: reload for 7mm mag

That sounds like a good load for the condor zone have you messed with the Nosler etips yet I'm waiting on a benchmark barrel and going to try working up loads for accu bonds and etips with it.

Re: reload for 7mm mag

my go to for hunting with 7mm rm is
150 grn ETIP
cci mag primer
67.0 grn IMR7828
3030fps (chrono 20 feet from muzzle)
I seat the bullet to 10 thou from the rifleing (that will be differant for each rifle) so, I wont give my OAL
I have shot white tail (7), all 1 shot drop on the spot kills and 1 moose (just short of 200 yards) also a 1 shot kill, he staggered for about 20 feet then dropped.

Re: reload for 7mm mag

my go to whitetail load for the last 3 years has been the 150 ballistic tip with 68 grains of 7828sc and a fed mag match primer. Ive probably shot 20 deer with that load and its never let me down.
