Reforming brass any problems

If you take a 30-06 Lapua case and run it through a .280 FL die is there anything you need to do after fireforming it to your chamber. Do you need to neck turn or inside neck trim. You have a larger neck diameter and you are taking it down to .284 ..............where does the extra brass go to.??

for 30-06 to 280 just neck it down and shoot it. When you neck it down there will be a sub-shoulder that will hold the case in place. Just make sure to set your dies so the re-formed case just closes with some resistance. You don't want a sloppy fit as she'll stretch if you do. Unless you have a super tight neck there won't be enough neck thickness difference to matter.
