redding bushing dies and seating dies

I am going to get some redding bushing neck and seating dies for the ol' remmy .308 and I am wondering why I would need the micrometer function of the competition dies? I am going to set them up for one gun and one load. Could a few of you please run down some pros and cons for me?

Re: redding bushing dies and seating dies

1. One gun and one load soon turns into 3 guns and five loads.

2. Buy the Forester Bonanza micro seater. Half the cost and just as good if not better than the Redding by most people.

3. Buy the FB FL die and spend $40 to have Jim Carstenson convert it to bushings. www.6mmbr.com has info on his die conversions and contact info. Or at least buy the Redding Type S FL bushing die. Would not go neck only die, got to have the FL sizing capability.

JLC can also convert your existing FL die to bushings.
