I have found 43.5 of RL15 to be a very good load in more than one 308. Velocity is around 2650-2700 depending on the stick. Never better than .5 MOA accuracy but never any worse either. It is a good all around load and good balance between accuracy and speed.
Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (how bad your last shot was, how big the group is going to be, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.
