Re: QuickLoad ?????????????

This output data is only as good as the input data. To give a more accurate results your exact case capacity and chronograph readings from several different loads would be needed, but what you gave should be enough to get you in the ball park. Though this simulation may be very accurate you still need to work up carefully.

Will repost the corrected data!

Re: QuickLoad ?????????????

This should be a bit more realistic, but like I said before, it is best to work up the load over a chronograph. Special attention should be given to the two variations of powder burn rate. Increasing the burn rate by 10% takes a nominal 54kpsi load to a 65+kpsi without a change it charge weight, so as usual work up the load slowly. By that I mean start low (say 96-97gr), if a chronograph is used, a step of 1gr intervals is not out of the question with a case capacity that of the RUM.

The columns read
1st % of 101.1gr
2nd % of case filled
3rd Actual charge weight in grains
4th Velocity in fps
5th Energy in lb*ft
6th Pressure maximum in psi
7th Muzzel pressure in psi
8th % of propellent burned
9th Propellent burn time in milli seconds

Cartridge : .300 Rem Ultra Mag
Bullet : .308, 210, Berger M T VLD
Useable Case Capaci: 101.203 grain H2O = 6.571 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.675 inch = 93.35 mm
Barrel Length : 26.0 inch = 660.4 mm
Powder : Hodgdon US 869

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 2.0% of nominal charge.
CAUTION: Figures exceed maximum and minimum recommended loads !
