I put the rod back in my RCBS upside down accidently. When I primed the next case it put a pretty good dent in the primer. Be careful.

I purchased the RCBS universal priming tool when I started loading for the short mags. It seems to work very well although it isn't as smooth as the old Lee. Never have to change shel holders though.
    I used to re-load but now I "hand-load".

    Re: Priming tool

I use and like the Hornady hand primer. It comes with 2 ''dishes''. Hornady and RCBS, as some RCBS shell holders are bit small(like #43RCBS for shortmags), Just swich to RCBS dish and have at er'.
As to priming from the press, Ive hered alot of stories about primers either getting partialy seated, or seated somewhat crooked. I have no experience in priming with the press, I only hand prime so I can feel the primer seat. Its how I was shown to do it. Heck I even took the press primer off my press. It just gets in the way.
I have a L-N-L press and I LOVE Hornady bushings. I use them with Redding dies, and swiching from decapping/resizing to seating and back again is a CAKEWALK.

I'd feel remiss if I didn't throw this one into the mix, it is smooth and works flawlessly.
