Primer storage

What is the suggest way to store primers in winter weather like Cody, Wy.

Have hunting buddy that I asked and I don't know, HELP

I have primers from the late 60's that shoot fine, stored indoors, outdoors and in
several different climates. I wouldn't leave them out at -40 but other than that indoors
or a basement and don't worry about them.

I would be concerned about basement in case of the flooding, so store them high or in some sort of zip bags so they would float...

Cold won't bother primers but heat will. Store them as cool (and dry) as possible and they will last for many decades.

Have mine in a 50 cal. ammo can comes with rubber seal on top

If they are federal 215's regular or match you can store them at my place.

I 2nd the 50 cal ammo cans for storage. I have over 30 of them with powder and primers that are like brand new bought over 10 yrs ago.
