Predicted Effect of Switching Brass

Should I expect a significant difference (velocity or accuracy) when I switch from R-P to Winchester brass for my .264 WinMag?

Re: Predicted Effect of Switching Brass

In a word----MAYBE.... Depends on the rifle but if you are anywhere a max load then back down a bit --- not to mention that you have issues when you use WW brass (for example) but a different lot number.

Such case swaps are tweaks, not massive changes.

Re: Predicted Effect of Switching Brass

It will by my "guess" that the win brass will have slightly more capacity and your loads will actually slow down a tad. If you have both brass on hand trim a fired case of ea and fill them with a fine powdered gun powder to the case mouth and see which one holds more. If they are close in wt they will most likely perform the same.
