Gunna do some shoppin when i get home this weekend...and "search" wont work on my phone...

Ive got a box of 100 210g Bergers for my 300wsm, a bunch of winchester brass and a savage model 12lrp with a 26" tube....
As i already know powder and primers can be hard to find so what options will work the best and what will be ok... need somethin that will be fairly temp stable as once i get a good load worked up it needs to work good from 90* down to -10*( my personal limits) i know there will be some variance with those temps but i dont want somethin thats gunna shoot bug holes during the summer but just falls outa the barrel during the winter...lookin for speeds of 2800+ out of it...

Any opinions are apreciated!

Re: which powders

I've never loaded for a 300WSM but if I was going to I would probably use H4831.

Re: which powders

I know you want max temp insensitivity, but RL-17 pushes the 210 VLD very well out of a 300 WSM. I get 2850 FPS, but do have a deep throat. I have seen nothing else push it that fast. H4350 would get me about 2750. Both powders can be very accurate.

Re: which powders

My pet load for my 300wsm was 210 berger behind 60 gr h4350 210m primer Win brass. It was not the fastest load but by far the most consistent for my rifle. If my memory is still there I was getting just shy of 2800 on an 80 deg day and around 2675 at around 20 deg. If you want more speed and temp stable I would look at H4831sc, H1000, or Retumbo I was able to get 2900 fps with these powders from a 26 tube. Most were at pressure limits and none of them were as concistant with my rifle. Another issue you may have is finding any of the powders listed here. Good luck.
