Re: powder for VLD 190 gr in 300WM

I used H1000 with CCI 250's and the 190gn SMK and it was unbelievably accurate at 79.0gn. Velocity averaged 3078fps in my 26" Savage barrel. ES was 7.83 and SD was 4.12. The group measured .142"! My jaw hit the dirt.
I had finally decided to try H1000 and had been doing load development the previous day. I could not for the life of me get it to group, but I was using the CCI BR2. As soon as I slipped those magnum primers (CCI250) in the equation it came together!
I took it up to 80.5gn and velocity averaged 3145fps. The ES and SD was not as good, but accuracy was still .4185". Anything under 1/2 MOA is a good LR load IMO. Good luck. JohnnyK.

I agree with H1000, H4831, and do not over look Ramshot Magnum!
Good shoot'n!

Another vote for H1000. I've developed several loads for different 300 Win. rifles using 180 - 190 gr. bullets, and I always end up with H1000.
