you can get them to shoot great out to about 250 yards... they're going to spin too fast for good long range accuracy in a 1:9 .243 win barrel.

I'm still working on a load for these. The best load I've found so far is with 47.4 gr of H4350, CCI200 primers, Win brass, loaded .040 off the lands. Three shot groups averaged .563 inches at 100 yards. Velocity was 3500 fps through a Savage model 10 with a 22 inch barrel. I have not shot them past 100 yards yet.

I've also had very good luck with the Sierra 60gr Varminter, 46.5 gr of H4350, CCI200 primer, Win brass, loaded .020 off the lands. Three shot groups averaged .600 inches at 100 yards with an average velocity of 3500 fps.

your best load with the 3031 is going to be around 40 grains... so that ought to do it.

give these bullets plenty of seating depth... most folks try to make them reach the lands and they end up having very inconsistent neck tension. OAL should be around 2.595 max inches (bullet tip to case head).

looks like you're well under that number... I think Hornady's OAL on their v-max 58 grain load is around 2.595"...

    good luck.

My COL was 2.698 and neck tension seems fine. I do anneal the cases every time though.
