Need Your 7 SAUM Load Data

Hey Everybody!
A buddy of mine is having a 7 SAUM built. Would you be willing to provide your load data for the cartridge? He is interested in shooting the 160+ grain bullets. Especially the 180grain Bergers.

Any load data or links to online data would be appreciated!

Thanks

Re: Need Your 7 SAUM Load Data

I just worked up a load with 162 A-max, 60 gr of 4831sc, and CCI BR2 primers. Out of my 28" barrel, they are going around 3000 fps. I have tried the 168 and 180 Bergers, VLD's and Hybrids, but the A-max shot the best out of my rifle. Good luck.

Thanks Jarhead. Can you share some of your 'failed' load data?

Re: Need Your 7 SAUM Load Data

I've went from 57 up to 60 gr H 4831sc and the 180 vld's.
I've also tried from 64.5 to 66 gr Retumbo.
I have tried these loads with different seating depths.
There seems to be an accuracy node in my rifle at 2900 and another at around 2820 fps with the 180 bergers.

please start low on the retumbo loads as these were haulin ass! (up to 3090), but no pressure signs

these were in a 9 twist 27" kreiger.

Re: Need Your 7 SAUM Load Data

I found 64.5 gr of H1000 with the Berger 180 Hybrid shot excellent at 300 yds. But when I tested the same load at 640 yds I was getting high signs of pressure. The shots at 300 showed a slight ejector mark, at 640 the bolt was stickier than I'm comfortable with. Not sure why, maybe it's just the brass. The COAL for this load in my rifle was 3.085" which is .010 off the lands.

Also, 65.5 gr of H1000 with the Hornady 162 A-max shot excellent at distances up to 800 yds. According to Exbal, they were going 3057 fps. However, when I loaded up another batch of this load the accuracy wasn't nearly as good (from .3 MOA to .75 MOA). The COAL for this load in my rifle was 3.017" which is .005 into the lands.

I'm gonna get some new brass and try these loads again.
