Micrometer case trimmer?

I am looking for a good micrometer case trimmer. I have seen the Sinclair however I don't like that you have to get a diffrent part for every caliber and also that you have to beat the neck on the table top to get it out. Could yal make some suggestions? Thank's, Brad

I had a Forster non-mic trimmer, and did not like it. Bought a Wilson with the Sinclair micrometer and stand. It does work well, but of course, you do need to buy separate case holders. No gettin around that.

I use the rcbs trimmer, not a mic, but if you make up a pedro and set the trimmer to it, you don't need a mic trimmer. I swap out cal's and reset in a few seconds, and as long as you tighten the length stops, you're golden.

Re: Micrometer case trimmer?

Got a Wilson non mic trimmer comin..I can see the frustration if you trim for multiple cases on this model but I feel its consistency & accuracy trumps that at the end of the day. I can see your concern if you reload for a handfull or more more cartridges, but for me, only loading for a couple cartridges didnt sway my choice. I wanted a tried & true design that wouldnt empty my wallet so the wilson got the nod.

that's why it and the Wilson (samething) are considered to be about as good as it gets. The trim cut on the neck is very square and can be very accurate. I know a few guys that still use the Forsters, and like them. I did for awhile myself, till I got my hands on a Wilson.

I use the Redding 2400 and love it: Model 2400 Match Precision Case Trimming Lathe | Redding Reloading Equipment: reloading equipment for rifles, handguns, pistols, revolvers and SAECO bullet casting equipment

I know this is not a micrometer trimmer but for the accuracy of it, the ease of use, relatively low price and the speed at which it completes the task - I can't see where you can go wrong with the Little Crow Gunworks Worlds Finest Trimmer. I do not have any stock in the company, I am not one of their salesmen and I do not make a penny for the plug, I just think it is a well built tool. The only thing I see wrong is that like the wilson and sinclair, they are cartridge family specific and you have to buy a different one for each cartridge family. Each W.F.T. is made to trim a specific cartridge family such as a 308 trimmer will also trim 7mm-08, 260 Rem., 243 Win is what I mean... Thats my 2 cents - for what its worth, BK
