Re DPS III

MY DPS III works great on some powders Win 748 and not so good on others AR2206 ( Like IMR Powders). Its great to clean compared to older models. The auto dispense is realy handy. And its good to be able to save loads in the memory.
Regards,
Bob.

I am a Scale Technician by trade. I certify, calibrate, operate and repair all types of industrial scales. This ranges from lab scales that measure or weigh out to the 1/10,000th (.0001) of a gram all the way up to rail scales that weigh up to 400,000 lbs. I see all makes and models of scales on a daily basis. Some are more accurate than others, some are more sensitive than others and some repeat better than others. Sometimes it's hard to get two identical scales to weigh the same, much less an electronic one and a balance beam type. My suggestion: get one scale, calibrate it, work your loads up with that scale only. Trust it, don't second guess it and don't use two or three different scales to double-check all your loads.
Your pet loads are not going to shoot the same if you get another scale or use your neighbors.

P.S. I use the RCBS ChargeMaster and love it also!! JohnnyK.

    Regards,
    Bob.

I just used my DPS Scale to load IMR 4895 for my AR-15 Loads with
FMJ Bullets and I used it to load my AR-15 Hunting Loads with a
55 Grn V-Max and Varget Powder,,and it worked Great for me with the Stick Powders,,I use Varget for ALL my HUNTING Loads,,and I use
IMR 4895 for my FMJ Loads
IF I ever get a scale that ISN'T reccomended for Stick Powder,I will NOT buy it !!!
Do you guys ALL let your Scales warm up for the ENTIRE 30 Minutes ?
If I am in a Hurry,I just Bypass the 30 Minute warm up period, and IF I am NOT in a hurry,I will let it warm up for the ENTIRE 30 Minutes
Just curious to see if you guys use the ENTIRE 30 Minute warm up period ?
