I thought I would see if the new LRX 200 .308 bullets would fly from my HS-Precision hunting rifle... Wow, I was pleasantly surprised. I was limited by the magazines OAL of 2.90. I loaded them so they fit cleanly. R 17 powder, CCI LRM, Winchester brass.

64.2 gr of R17
2.82 COL
average velocity of 10 shot string 2990 (high 3009, low 2979)
1:10 twist 26" bbl 9# rifle.

They should be a good elk hunting round.

That looks great! I have never tried the LRX 200 in my guns, I am loading RL-17 and 168 TTSX bullets for my elk load. Your load ought to work on almost any game.

Shormagnum.... I'm hoping so. I have been using the 180 gr TTSX to good affect.
