Mine was 60.2 gr. of h4831 ( I think ) under nosler BT. But that is around max. Don't start here. Work up to it.

Work up to it but 60 gr H4831 and most 130 gr cup and core bullets in a 270 Win go together like ice cream and apple pie. I have used Sierra game kings and ballistic tips most and they kill deer dead in their tracks most of the time.

Accurized weatherby vanguard. RL22 58grs using 130 accubonds. Punches small groups and flattens deer and hogs

Re: Looking for .270 win loads for 130 grain

It depends on what size game you are going after. If it is deer size in the 90 to 200 lb range the 130 Sierra or Ballistic tip, in my experience of having killed quite a number of deer as a control hunter, usually drops a deer in their tracks but many more will run off a ways before they do down on most 140s. The 140s seem to be constructed a little tougher than the 130. If the game is deer that go over 200 lbs on average then yes the 140s may just be the ticket.
