Rem 700 LA
Kreiger 28" 1-8" twist
Norma brass (reformed)
Fed 210M
107 SMK

As posted before Ramshot Magnum performs very well, I'm not running as hard as some of the other guys, shooting at 3250fps. Best group so far has been 1.564" @ 500yds, this cartridge is FLAT shooting, pick up some Magnum & have fun with it.

Re: Load data 6MMx284

I just bought a Winchester at a Internet auction in 6mm-284. Whenever you make a purchase sight unseen you hope for the best and understand you might lose. I was saving for a new Cooper in the Excalibur 6.5x284 had dies brass bullets just waiting for an opportunity. So before this Winchester arrived I bought a set of REdding dies for 6mm. The powder of choice as all my research pointed to was R17. When rifle arrived I loaded 100 grain sst with 49 grains R17 and accuracy was not good. I knew barrel was in full contact with stock channel so I used the credit card implant trick and floated the barrel. With a few tweeks later with my DEWALT grinder channel was clear. After another trial load my 105 Hornadies were entering target side ways I knew heavy bullets would not stabilize with 12 inch twist. Guy from Hornady told me how to check twist rate and it worked 1 in 12. My drethers were to shoots only heavy bullets now I know lightweight up to 100 grain. All said and done 49.7 grains R17 Sierra 87 grain 1/2 inch at 158 yards. 95 grain sst 49.5 R17 3/4 inch same distance. I paid $600 for the 60's contolled round feed topped with a Leupold 6.5-20. Whoever built it didn't shoot it because it was like brand new. I sent for a Hs precision Proffesional stock through STOCKEES for $320 delivered. I think the rifle is worth it. R17 all the way
