Re: Load Data - 340 WBY

Beretzs - thanks for the generous offer. The rifle should be back from the 'smith by August 6. I measured most everything needed for loading before I dropped it off so I could hit the range as soon as it returned. I will get those weight/capacity measurements and send them along as soon as possible.

Regards!

Re: Load Data - 340 WBY

I have shot a 340 for about 25 yrs. my son is using now.Factory, but braked after 10 yrs. and sits in a Lonewolf stock.I had a hard time with the larger than 250 gr. to fit mag and get bullet powder combo.Yours custom, might be set up better.I was compressed with 225 gr,and it is no problem. The rifle is a nice long range elk hammer.Taken many 6x6 with mine, and son a friend both shot bears with it this spring. My Norma that is not really much large is just designed specific for the 300 gr. and you can tell. You will enjoy the rifle, I have shot everything with mine.My case h20=103.4
