Ladder test Interbonds165\'s in 308winnie

Reloading a ladder test for Interbonds (165's) tonight and will go back out tomorrow to see how they group. Fed 210M primers, 42 to 46gr of Varget in 0.5gr steps (three each or two?).

Question is should I shoot these at 100yds, 300yds or somewhere inbetween? My confidence is better at 100yds (stupid, but it is) but I'm confident I can come within 3" of my intended aim point at 300. I'm shooting off a bipod and rear bag.

Any suggestions that don't cost an arm and a leg and can help take the slop out of my technique so I can find the load that works best in my Tikka 308win?

Thanks,

Matt

Need to be at 300 to see the dispersion and clusters moving.

also if you have a chrono it will help you spot the accuracy nodes.

Most definatly. I had never done this until a few weeks ago. With the chrono, you almost don't have to see the results on a target. You will notice a wide gap in powder charge w/almost no increase in velocity.
