I couldn't get the gunk to rinse out of the case after I soaked them. It loosened it up a lot but it wouldn't rinse out well. For a while I would rinse them in hot water and swab them out with a qtip after they soaked for a few minutes. It was a pain but the cases were clean and shiny inside and out. More work than I wanted to do. Now I just tumble. The ultrasonic seems to be the way to go.
I use it with good results. Soak and slosh for 2 minutes, rinse with hot water and a little dish soap. (to remove the iosso) rinse again. Put the brass in a plastic bucket drop the hair dryer in it and your done in 5-10 minutes.
