Imr4350 vs h4350

is H4350 a good substitue for IMR4350? i can't find any IMR but there is quite abit of Hodgen...I'm trying to load 105 amax's in my 243 thanks

They are close H4350 burns a little slower than IMR 4350 according to hodgdons burn rate chart

i guess i'll pick some up and if it don't shoot it don't shoot... i've tried H4831sc and was lucky if i hit the card board i was shooting at...

Hornady 7th edition recomends;
38.3gr of H 4350 for 2600fps
39.7gr of H 4350 for 2700fps
41.0gr of H 4350 for 2800fps SAAMI MAX LOAD
For 105gr A-MAX .500 B.C. IN .243 Win
Hornady side note;105 A-MAX will not stabilize in a 1-10 and slower twist bbl.
I do not load for this caliber, so I have no hands on experience with these loads, but its word for word from Hornady book
(Ironicly, they have 0 load data for 105 gr A-MAX using IMR 4350) Good luck hope this helps

H-4350 and IMR 4831 are real close. You can increase your load about two grains with H-4350 when subbing it for IMR 4350. It is a very good powder and I have several good loads with it in a number of rifles. Try H-414 or RE- 19 or 22 if you have any of that.

twist rate in my gun is 1in9 1/8 so it should be ok. I'll pick some up since i'm heading to the range tomorrow

My serria program i have shows an accuracy load for their 107 mk with imr4350 so that is why i am looking for that particular powder
