If you are shooting a factory rifle/barrel, throw out the recommended COALs and have your freebore/throat checked. You will likely be amazed how far out you can seat a 130 or 150 and stay off the lands. My Remmy has enough to keep 160 grn rnd noses off the lands and that makes for tons of throat.

When you get them out to -.020" to -.050" you may be surprised how well your .270 likes that stuff!

If you are loading for more than one rifle, check them all though.

If you can come up with some H4831SC or H1000 I'd be glad to trade it(including cash to make up for the 1/2 #). I'd prefer the H4831SC though.
