mine shot 42.5gr of H380 with a fed 210M and 55gr VMAX Moly extremely well at 3900fps. It also liked Varget but was slightly more accurate with the H380. Good choice on the Ackley.

Coyotekiller, thanks for the info. I'm currently using H380 so once my chamber is cut I'm gettting busy. What type of brass do you find works best for the AI, or is it not that sentitive? I just moved so I'll get logged on at home ,I'm posting from work now so I'll get on it this weekend. Again, thanks a million!

1Kyd30,
I am using Fed and Norma brass for most of my 22-250AI loads ,Win brass is .005" undersize in the web area and gives an unsightly belly out to your cases.if your gunsmiths reamer is bigger than .467 in the web area you will be better off having your own reamer made or have his re-done. as for powder H380 was the worst of 8 powders that I did load developement with (great powder for 22-250 not so good in AI IMHO ) start with H414 or something in the 4350 burnrate.

Re: I need 22-250 AI load data !

I used a lot of Win 760 in a custom chamber with zero freebore with the 55's. My two guns liked 44-5-45.5g of 760 with either Rem or Win cases with 210 primers. These loads were 4050 fps-4100 fps with SD below 30 fps. I fireformed the cases with 41.5-42.0g of 760 with the 55's and never lost a case.

Good luck!

Re: I need 22-250 AI load data !

what twist and barrel length are you shooting with your 22-250 ackleys? I am thinking of having another built. My last had a 27" barrel, but this time I would like to limit it to 24-25" if it would be enough for the round.
