Re: Hornady or Sinclair concentricity guage

I called Sinclair and talked to the, more likely than not, one person there that liked the NECO better than the others sooooo I was going to order the NECO from them. Yup, you guessed it. Out of stock on back order. Then I thought ah hell why not call the guy who makes them direct and order it. Sure enough they have them in stock and while I was on the phone with him I asked about "Quickload" and now I have both coming. Merry Xmas to me from me. Now my wife thinks it ok for her to go spend about the same on God knows what so it can be merry xmas to her from her. lol Oh well, atleast I'm getting what I want so who cares right....

OK, I guess I'm going to be the only one on here that admits I bought the Hornady! I'm also lucky enough to be blissfully ignorant and not know the difference between a good one and a bad one, so I'm happy with it. I've actually used it a lot and have no problems with it, but again, I don't really know the difference. I plan to do some work this spring and see if that bullet straightener thingy really makes a difference, and if that difference is good or bad.

I ended up getting the Sinclair for a Christmas gift to myself, but I almost opted for the Bruno version after reading an article doneon 6mmbr site.

I will liley end up with Neco also so I can set up the tools for different purposes and leave them for the most part set up.

I do not want to screw around with set up too much and I like gadgets too much

your gonna really like that gauge once you learn the quirks of it. It does just about everything very well. You'll need a good indicator if it dosn't come with one. Lastly; I highly recommend you head over to Lowes or Menards and buy yourself a 12" square piece of granit tile about a half inch thick (polished marble will work OK, but the granit is better) to set it on.
