Re: Help

With what limited info you have provided, my first thought given the number of firings on the brass would be brass is getting too long for chamber, due to FL sizing die not set properly. Resize a fired case and see if it will chamber and allow you to close bolt. If it doesn't allow bolt to close then adjust die.
You mention coal, that could be problem if bullet is set too long.

Re: Help

7mm rm? 3.82"? Am I missing something, 3.82-2.495=1.325" that leaves not even the boatail in the case. 180 berger = apx 1.527"-1.542". I'm lost.

Re: Help

I know all chambers are different but you may want to check the base to ogive length of all your rounds because I just measured some loaded basically identical to yours, just a different case make and powder charge, but in a saami 7mm rm chamber, I'm using the same comperator you are and I get 2.754" base to ogive and that's a .010" jam in the rifle I speak of. If yours is similar that's like a .065" jam, good reason it wouldn't want to close. Also bergers can vary in ogive length quite a bit from lot to lot, buy 500 at a time. My total oal is 3.412" btw. Only other 2 possibilities are case stretch or case head expansion on the verge of seperation, mic the belt, if its larger than .535" toss the cases or your about to have a really bad problem.
