H870 / wc872
How does WC872 compare to H870 ? About to run out of H870 need a replacement. I know there is retumbo but seems to me there is a big spread on burn rate between the two. any help would be great.

Re: H870 / wc872
Just got done reading a thread about temp sensativety and slow burning powder. On there, I read that h-us869 was to replace the old h-870.

Re: H870 / wc872
OH, and forgot, I am sure it was elkaholic that told me that the t-870 ( thunderbird cartridge co.) is the same powder as the old h-870. I was inquiring about this just a few days ago. I would post the site but not sure as to what it is. Hope this is some help to you.

The WC-872 that I have is slower than H-870.

Re: H870 / wc872
Try Welcome to Bartlett Reloaders - Jeff Bartlett to see if they still have some. I have put over 100 lbs. of wc872 down barrels. As with almost any powder different lots have slightly different burn rate. After using up a 100 lb. drum I have moved over to Retumbo. wc860 is closer to H870 burn rate generally. I hope they have what you are looking for.
