Goto loads for 7mm REM Mag and 160 Accubonds

One of my buddies just bought some 160 Accubonds and is looking for load data for the 7mm REM Mag and either IMR4350 or H4350.

I ran him some numbers in Quickload, but he was interested to see what everyones go to load is ...

How about it?

My preference would be H 4831 sc

I use RL22 now, my second choice would be H4831 sc

(I'd let the rifle decide which one)

Regardless, load the 160's to around 3000fps and it'll shoot. I load them to within .005" of the lands (maybe a tad closer).

I suggested something slower than 4350 also, H4831/H1000/Retumbo loads are fine too, what's your go to load for 7mm and 160 Accubond ...?

I didn't think the "short cut" powder was that popular in the 7mm. I like RL22 and VV560. The 560 is very stable with low ES.

I've used RL19 with good results. FPS is not as high as RL22 though.

Re: Goto loads for 7mm REM Mag and 160 Accubonds

I'm using 73 gr ADI2217/H1000 with my 160 accubonds (3067 fps from 26" barrel). seems to work well. Longest shot so far is a red hind at 300 yds. DRT.
