DRY chamber

I use an "O" ring type bore guide from Sinclair, in part, to keep solvents & oils out of the chamber. When cleaning is done I wrap a clean flannel patch around an oversize bore mop and dry the chamber. However, I don't really know if the chamber is oil/solvent free and have been experiencing some sticky extraction with moderate loads.

Is there anything special that you guys do in your cleaning routine to assure that the chamber is actually "DRY"?

    1. Go buy a wooden or plastic file handle, a alumimum or graphite scrap arrow.

    2. Cut the arrow off at 14"-20", whatever length you want. make sure to cut off from the nock end leaving the insert in the arrow.

    3. Drill out the file handle where the nock end of the arrow will fit and glue in.

    4. Insert 30-45 cal nylon brush on insert end. Yes they will fit.

    5. Clean chamber with large shotgun patches. Dry and then with alcohol or your favorite.

    Beats the $30 chamber tools.
