Yes they do...the case gets stretched when you fire it and when you resize it. That is why you have to trim brass back down to size after a few firings.

Cases get shorter when fired, and then even longer than before firing when sized.

The odd thing is that if I resize with two different dies, how long the brass gets depends on which die I use first.

Yes..what he said. They stretch outward to fill the chamber when fired. And when sizing back..it gets longer.
