Case stuck in die. Help Please.

Like broz said throw the "One Stuck" away. Thats what i ended up doing. I reloaded for 15 years with RCBS lube before i ever stuck a case but had to try the one shot. now I use redding imerial sizing wax (which works really well and not sticky) with RCBS pad there just in case. There is a commerial stuck case remover out there but its the same basic thing other have descibed with threading the brass and using washer.

as far as the RBCS die working and the redding be hard to resize, If its a bushing die, you want to check that you have the right diameter bushing. two small of a bushing would cause extra effort at the top of the stroke as well as when it passes back over the expander ball. plus your just working your brass that much more.

I must be doing something horribly wrong because one shot is all I use and I've yet to stick a case, then again I'm not shy about the amount I use either you have to spray all 4 sides and it doesn't hurt to spray the inside of the die either

I don't use it anymore either. I always got stuck cases.

Imperial sizing way only for me. I can make 308 out of 30-06 with barely any pressure.

To the OP. Go ahead and try the screw driver, use the biggest you can fit. I got a few out that way. You can also try a small pipe wrench and try to twist it out. Once it moves, it will come right out.

Alll I use as well (One Shot) and never stuck one either. The trick to one shot is shake the can until the ball rattles for a bout 30 seconds and use liberally. I put 30 cases in a large zip lock bag, fill the bag with a good shot ot One Shot, close the top and shake well, like making bread. Dump 'em out and let dry.

Do the die bore too.

I did stick a 308 but it was because I forgot to lube it. Pulled the expander pin and dropped a thin punch down the neck of the die and rapped the punch with a hammer. Popped the brass right out.

Actually the best lube is extreme pressure coolant in undiluted form. Also the most messy..............

Had a few stuck cases no ones fault but mine. I have been using Dillon lube for about a year for my bulk 5.56 stuff have not had any issues and must have been threw 10k worth of brass. I just toss a hand full in a little bucket spray it down and run it up into the die for a trim.

I forgot to mention under no circumstances try and hold the die with your hand while you drill it. It will cut the piss out of you I learned the hard way and I'm more man than you
