Burn Rates.

Hello all fellow keen loaders!

I hope this isn't a stupid question;
Does anyone know how to find out the absolute optimum burn rate for max MV for a given cartridge/barrel length/bullet weight with out testing all the likely ones methodically? That would take a bloody long time and a lot of $!

Cheers guys

Fred

    You should also have a copy of Hodgdon's burn rate chart...
