I have had real good luck seating them to magazine length, like real good luck. The 30-06 and 300WBY are to mag length my 270WSM is at .015 off the lands.
If you haven't read the sticky on Bergers, do it is worth doing. I have been trying mag length or a few thou into the lands then I go at it like Berger suggest but maybe a little finer. I think the 185's will be awsome in the 30-06!

Do you mean Barnes Boss, either way someone would be stupid to mess up what they have going, Berger or Barnes both good bullets.

Yea i do have a chrony. i make several batches and try and fine tune them.
