Barnes Tipped TSX bullets

Anyone have any experience on how thse new bullets perform? I'm wondering if they expand more quickly and if they leave a bigger exit hole than the TSX's. Thanks!

I'm going by what others have posted. Yes it opens 100% of the time and the hollow point under the tip is pretty substantial. Whether it will leave bigger holes....I'm not sure ....most people don't think bigger is needed.....a garden hose sized cavity through the vitals usually gets it done.
Surprisingly many have reported that accuracy seems better than the tsx also.

I have not shot any game with the TTSX but can verify what kraky said. One of the tips was broken off in a new box of 338 caliber 225 gr TTSX's and here is a pic of it next to a regular 338 caliber TSX

As you can see the hollow point behind the tip is much larger.

As far as accuracy, they sure can shoot

But you might want to consider weight sorting them because the box I had showed a lot of variation

My partner shot a cow at around 100 yds with a 225 gr TTSX out of his 340 Wby. We recovered the bullet, surprisingly, looked just like a Barnes advertisement. Did plenty of damage, but hard to say if it was more extensine than a normal TSX. They do shoot extremely well in his rifle. Thinking bout giving them a try in my 338 RUM, altough I was very pleased with the performance of the 250 gr Accubond that I was using. Took a bull, cow and mulie with them. Recovered one from the mulie taken at 633 yds and it looked just like a pic out of the Nosler book.

I love them. The antelope I shot with a 110 from my 270 died rather quickly. I have more TTSX on my bench than any other bullet make.

Can't speak for killing results (did not got a shot with one this year when using the 270) but they sure fly great from my 270 wsm.
