7RUM, Nosler brass vs "genuine" Remington.

Besides Remington, who is the genuine brand when it comes to RUM, Nosler is the only other brand whom I've seen that makes the 7RUM cases. But they cost about 2x what the rems cost. What are the pros/cons/differences between them?

Not sure what you mean by "genuine"

You're shooting the wrong cartridge to be worrying about costs.

I've had mediocre to excellent results with Nosler brass in other cartrdges.

Remington has always been fair to mediocre for me.

I hate wasting time and barrel life and usually lean towards spending a lot more for slightly better brass.

You should be able to get good results with either one. It's simply a matter of prepping, sorting, and culling. You're likely to cull a good bit more of the Rem brass.

i've all ways used REM brass for my edge and had good luck with it but wish we could get lapua but we r stuck with rem n nos. there was some federal around but really hard to find.

Ive boughten a few boxes of nosler brass. Its nice stuff. I comes trimmed precisely champered and the flash holes are very uniform and deburred. Now i can do all those things myself on cheaper brass and save a little money but it is great brass.

Not bad for for $20 more than Rem. brass.

Do you happen to know how long this has been available from Norma?

It's never a good sign, when you hear the word "backorder".

After just dumping a buck 24 on a 3-way cutting head and longer rail, I guess the rem brass will work out OK for me.

By genuine, I meant that Remington is the "original" 7RUM. Or you could say that they were the "inventor" of the RUM cartridge.
