Re: 7mm stw loads
Been using 79.5gr of RL25 sitting on 150 Sciroccos that is pushing out at 3400-3450 out of a Broughton 28.5". I've had good results with 175 SMK's with H1000. What type of twist do you have..I have a 1:9 in my STW and it really likes the 150-168gr bullets the best. However, if you are doing anything out to 800-1000 the 175's really start pulling together. Are you looking for a target load or a hunting load...to me it really makes difference on how/what I load. I find that I can push them a little harder out of Win brass...never had good luck with Remmy brass in my STW...it eats um up.

Re: 7mm stw loads
My favorite load in my Win 70 Classic Sporter is 78 gr 7828 and a 160 Sierra BTHP Gameking. This bullet does not get enough credit for performance. Velocity in my gun is 3263fps. This load holds up well and hits hard.

Re: 7mm stw loads
Thanks for your input fellas, I'm not sure on the twist it's a factory rem sendero stw I think it's 9 1/4 twist not for sure though. I would like to shoot the 168 bergers or the 175 smk's do yall think that twist would stabilize it. Going to mainly hunt long range with it.
Thanks
Nathan

Re: 7mm stw loads
The Sendero is a 9.5 twist. It does stabilize the 180 Bergers. I use 79 grains Retumbo and 3.65 OAL. 3050 FPS This load is deadly out to 1000 yards in my sendero.

Re: 7mm stw loads
my best load tested so far is 78gr of reloader-25 using a 160gr nosler accubond and fed 215m primers. Runs about 3150fps out of my ruger no.1 and groups pretty well for the factory barrel.
