I've never used anything other than h4831sc in my 6.5x284, but there's some load info on 6mmbr.com...

H4350 is another good one but you may be missing the boat ruling out4831.

My oal was 3.133" so you may have to adjust. With 130s 53grns Imr 4350 or RE17, 54.5grns RE19, 55grns VV N160 for the 140s use 2grns less of these powders. Honestly 7828, H1000, are retumbo are a little on the slow side, but all around H4831SC works the best so you may wanna just get some.

Slow side on burn rate? Velocity wise I have seen H1000 and Retumbo shoot faster than 4350 or 4831. Not sure what you are running for velocity with the 140's but 3020-3050 is not out of the norm with RET and H1000 out of a 26" tube.

Re: 6.5x284 loads, anything but 4831

Well as I mentioned in a previous post I was running 3020fps with a 4fps ES with 48.7grns Imr 4350, norma cases, CCI BR2s, and an average around 35lbs neck tension and jammed .005" in the lands on a 139 lapua scenar. I have hit 3176 with 51.5grns Imr 4350 but it started vertical so I backed it off for accuracy, went from 8" groups to 5" groups, so I guess the question is why use about 10 grns more powder to do the same thing?
