6.5-300 wsm

Does anyone have any data on this case. I plan to chamber one in a 22" 8.5 twist barrel for a single shot longrange pistol. Ross

You might send a private message to fiftydriver, he has a fair amount of experience with both that cartridge and building long range handguns.

Re: 6.5-300 wsm

Ross, Kirby Allen built an XP for me in 6.5 WSM. I'm using 270 WSM brass, RL-22, and CCI primers with 120 grain Nosler BTs. Kirby developed a load running 3050 fps with these components. It wears a 17 inch Broughton barrel.

Re: 6.5-300 wsm

Hi Mark
Kirby used the best barrel available for your build. I am going to use a Kreiger on a Bat action with a Russo stock. I think I am going to cut it to 22" a little long for a pistol but it is going to be a long range shooter if the accuracy is good enough. I would have used a Broughton but the wait time was 3 months. Thanks for the info. Ross
