6.5-284 Factory Ammo
Guys, where is the best place to buy factory ammo for 6.5-284. I know Bergers are probably the best, but they are 70 bucks a box. I don't know how to reload yet. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. If I go on a big hunt I will break down and get Bergers, but the 200 yard shots at the ranch I want some cheaper ammo.

Midway and cheaper than dirt carry Norma brand ammo loaded with 140 nosler partitions for under 60 bucks, they shoot as good as match grade to 400yrds plus you have good norma brass left when you do reload.

Re: 6.5-284 Factory Ammo
Yes Black Hills has a 142smk at 2950 also in norma brass for around 60 bucks. Corbon loads 123 lapua scenars at 3100 and 139s at 3000, and 120tsx at 3150. I have shot both corbon lapua loads and the norma load and they shoot awesome, can't speak for blackhills they were always backordered, I shot factory ammo to break in a barrel and get the cases but mine still favors 139 lapuas with handloads.

Which 6.5-284, I do not like to see people order the wrong ammunition! The name 6.5-284 is meaningless without the name in back of it. Which one are we writing about?

The 6.5x284 Norma ammo in Norma 140gr Nosler Partition, and the Nosler brand 130 gr Accubond ammo, fits the 6.5x284 Norma designation, they are both very accurate and run $50-55 per box.
