Thanx all. Black ignt755 you helped a lot. That was very helpful. I didn't realize the recessed rim either. I am pretty set on the 6.5-284 for caliber. Sounds like the few extra bucks for lapua is worth it. Thanx again to everyone.

    I have shooting 6.5x284's for quite some time. Never had an issue with a failure to feed. I dont think I worry about too much even if I did with the 6.5x284.

    I have a 6.5 x 284 savage lrh and use the lapua brass and it will shoot a dime size group at 200 every time .. i love it.
